Like Israel, heaven lay about the Church in its infancy, but as it journeyed westwards the morning blush of love for Christ faded into the common light of day. Not until Christ loosed the Seven Seals through His servant William Branham did the evening Light of Malachi 4:6b and Revelation 10:1-7 "finish the mystery of God and restore the apostolic faith" (Zechariah 14:7; Matthew 24:27-28). Once again the heavens glow with glory and colour of promise that the western heaven will outshine the eastern, with a Light that shall never dim.

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb will come to pass when His Wife has made Herself ready. And She will be given the privilege to clothe herself in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous actions of the saints. And Brother Branham told John, Write, Blessed are they who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. These are the true sayings of God." Then an unprecedented natural catastrophe will strike the earth; the first resurrection will commence and "the Lord will reach out His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people, Israel, exiled in the [now Muslim] countries of the Middle East and North Africa" (Revelation 19:7-9; 1:1; Isaiah 11:11).

Our news items deserve careful reading because they indicate how the exceptional chutzpah of the impostors who rule the world under the god of this evil age are "gathering the apostate (once) blessed Christian nations and the whole earth to the battle of the great Day of God Almighty" (Revelation 16:14). Israel's War Criminals in their own Words

May 21, 2019 — Shooting unarmed Palestinian demonstrators "preserves Israeli values." Israel's public face, sustained and propagated by a wealthy and powerful diaspora that has significant control over the media, insists that the country is the Middle East's only true democracy, that it operates under a rule of law for all its citizens and that its army is the "most moral in the world." May 16, 2019 — A spokesman of Yemen's Iran-allied Ansarullah (Houthi) movement said that the 'qualitative drone operation' against vital Saudi oil facilities represents a 'strategic turning point' in the Saudi-led war in the impoverished country. This translated video also contains other analytical excerpts from Al-Mayadeen TV dealing with details and possible ramifications of the major drone operation deep within Saudi territory . . . More broadly, the drone operation on Saudi Arabia comes as the drums of war grow louder between the United States and Iran, as Washington continues to heighten its economic, military, and political pressure on Tehran . . . Comment: Read the subtitles on all of the videos. Last week saw what was supposed to be a hyperpower point fingers for its embarrassing defeat not only at Venezuela, which successfully defeated Uncle Shmuel's coup plans, but also at a list of other countries including Cuba, Russia, China and Iran.

Trump – from China to Iran to Venezuela – Threats and Sanctions Everywhere – a Chronicle of Disorganized Chaos Foretold

May 17, 2019 — As of May 10, Mr. Trump has arbitrarily increased tariffs on Chinese goods imported into the US . . . an action without any foundation . . . makes no sense . . . as China . . . much stronger than . . . tariffs are nothing else but sanctions. Illegality of such foreign interference aside . . . hardly any serious economist . . . would favour tariffs in international trade . . . China is a key trading partner . . . There are huge profit margins by US middlemen and importers of Chinese goods . . . the consumer . . . the US economy will likely suffer . . . this looks like . . . the desperate thrashing around of a dying beast . . .

We have the US and Venezuela—threats after threats after threats . . . "regime change" didn't work out—so far . . . Next—Iran . . . Comment: The Dow Jones US Banks Index has dropped 8% since the start of 2018, the S&P 500 Index has gained 7% over the same period. Here is an important message for Message believers as financial stocks make up 13% of the S&P 500 and tend to lead the market (i.e. the market is going to head south pronto]. If bank stocks continue to struggle, the S&P 500 is likely headed south in the coming months. Brother Branham warned, "You watch for a depression, brother. You think you've seen something; you just wait after while. You haven't seen nothing" (Jezebel Religion. p. 22:100).

United States and Venezuela: a Historical Background

May 18, 2019 — "Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and they own it and we want it" – (Anonymous Trump official).

US hostility and efforts to overthrow the Venezuelan government forms part of a long and inglorious history of US intervention in Latin America going back to . . . the 'Monroe Doctrine' . . . to keep Europeans out of the region, but the right of the US to intervene in pursuit of its economic, political and military interests . . . from the late 19th century to the 1930's . . . Marine invasions, the installation of US client dictatorships and the resistance of popular revolutions led by several revolutionary leaders in El Salvador, (Farabundo Marti), Nicaragua, (Augusto Sandino), Cuba (Jose Marti) and Mexico [Lazaro Cárdenas] . . . Post-WWII . . . the overthrow of popular governments and the repression of social movements, including Guatemala (1954), Chile coup (1973), US invasion of the Dominican Republic (1965), Grenada (1982), and Panama (1989) . . . Venezuela (1998 to the present).

US General Smedley Butler summarized his 33 years in the military as a 'muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers . . . I helped make Mexico safe for American oil interest in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for National City Bank to collect revenue . . . I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. US 'Bid to destroy Venezuela' threatens Foundations of International Law

May 17, 2019 — Washington's bid to "destroy Venezuela" is wrecking the international laws governing relations between all states, Venezuela's ambassador to Britain Rocio Maneiro warned today. "Nobody really understands the danger" of the precedent set by the decision by some countries [and Australia] to recognise would-be usurper Juan Guaido as Venezuela's leader in contravention of all international norms . . . she detailed the "net" cast by the US to trap Venezuela, including by oil sanctions that cost the country an estimated $6 billion in revenues in the first year from August 2017.

There are even harsher measures on state oil firm PDVSA and its US subsidiary Citgo that have cost $11bn in expected revenues. Sovereign assets have been retained, frozen or confiscated abroad amounting to $5.4bn held in 50 banks in 22 countries. There has also been a mammoth $30bn in estimated losses from the financial isolation imposed by the closure of Venezuelan accounts in dollars and Euros . . . from December 2014's decision to sanction its Central Bank through to the decision announced this week to ban flights from or to Venezuela from landing in the US. The Washington-based Centre for Economic and Policy Research published a study in April detailing the impact of these measures on Venezuela's ability to import needed goods, especially medicines, and estimated that 40,000 Venezuelans have died as a result of the US blockade . . . Comment: There's far more diversity in Venezuela's 'muzzled' media than in the US Corporate Press. Creative reporting about Venezuela is, according to Lucas Koerner and Ricardo Vaz, "the world's most lucrative fictional genre" (venezuelanalysis.com).

Tragic Example of Transgender Delusions literally killing Children

May 17, 2019 — NBC has reported, the trend of biological women presenting as men while pregnant can have heartbreaking and tragic consequences:

When the man arrived at the hospital with severe abdominal pains, a nurse didn't consider it an emergency, noting that he was obese and had stopped taking blood pressure medicines. In reality, he was pregnant—a transgender man in labour that was about to end in a stillbirth . . . The "man" being referred to here is actually a woman, a fact that can be readily discerned by the fact that she is pregnant. Because she was presenting as a man, a nurse, quite reasonably, thought she was simply obese rather than a "pregnant man" . . . Antediluvian Timeline to Noah & Postdiluvian Timeline to Joseph

How many of you, when you read Genesis 5, are just itching to draw a timeline? I love Bible genealogies, and so when I read the numbers in Genesis 5, the data are calling out to me to analyse them. The antediluvian timeline really is fascinating, and there are many lessons to be gleaned from it.

The Patriarchs' Lives

When I was younger, I'd read this chapter and because of the way it's written, I gained the impression that these people lived back-to-back, i.e., one dies before the another starts his life. For example:

"And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: and the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. And Seth lived a hundred and five years and begat Enos: and Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan" (Genesis 5:3-9).

Because the genealogy would describe the complete life of one person first before going to the next, the overlap is not so obvious. In fact the overlap is remarkable because in reality Adam did not die in verse 5; he was still alive 874 years later when Lamech was born in verse 25! These overlaps paint an entirely different picture of life back then, and here is my version of the antediluvian timeline.

What this means is that Genesis 5 can also be written in the following way:

That's 9 generations co-existing at one point in time for 56 years!!

Here are some points of observation from the timeline:

•Of the 10 antediluvian patriarchs, Methuselah lived the longest. He died the same year as the Flood.
•Methuselah was also the first patriarch to see a son die. All the other patriarchs died before their sons.
•Methuselah's son, Lamech, died 5 years before the Flood (he did not die because of the Flood).
•Lamech was the most short-lived patriarch of the 10. He died at 777. Interesting number.
•Lamech prophesied when "he called his [son's] name Noah [which means rest or comfort], saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed" (Genesis 5:29). Adam prophesied "that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the violence and quantity of water, and at another time by the force of fire" (Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, I, 2:3). Enoch prophesied the Great Flood, and Methuselah was a living prophecy as his name means "when he is dead it [i.e., the Flood] shall be sent".
•All 10 patriarchs saw the deprivation of mankind in their lifetime.
•Brother Branham explained: "10 is a bad number," the number of closed history. But man always counts backwards, starts at 10, 9, 8, 7 . . . 0. Israel's 10 tribes were all carnal. When the prophet Joseph blessed his children, Ephraim and Manasseh, God crossed his hands, transferring the birthright from the older son, the Law, and putting it upon Christ. God counts ahead, He made the world in seven days and rested. He started with the first of 7 Church Ages; it is later than you think, the counting is over [we are living the antitype of the fiftieth day of Israel's Pentecostal feast]. The next thing is "zero," let's go Home (The Countdown, p. 12:79-80)!
•Methuselah saw all the patriarchs from Adam die (except Enoch who was translated and types Christ's end-time Bride, and Noah who was saved).
•Enoch was taken up to heaven at year count 987.
•Seth was still alive when Enoch was translated—he was 857 years of age.
•This means that everyone from Seth to Lamech was alive when Enoch was taken up to heaven.
•Adam was the sole patriarch to die before Enoch's translation. What encouragement! Adam had to leave Eden, but 57 years after he died, one man called out from the seventh generation from the first Adam, was translated. [A perfect type of Christ's end-time Bride called out from the seventh generation from the last Adam: 57 years after Christ loosed the Seven Seals and revealed through His Prophet in 1963 (Revelation 10:1-7) I expect the first resurrection and translation of "we who are alive and remain"].
•Noah was born 69 years after Enoch's translation.
•Abel is not counted in the Patriarchy as he was slain without offspring.
•Cain is not in Adam's genealogy as his father was the Devil-incarnate Serpent who seduced Eve (Genesis 3; II Corinthians 11:1-3; I Timothy 2:14; Hebrews 12:8; I John 2:13-14; 3:12).
•"Enoch was the seventh from Adam" (Jude 14). Had Cain been in Adam's genealogy Enoch would have been the eighth from Adam.
•Genesis 4 records the genealogy of Abel's half-brother, Cain. Were he Adam's son, the law of the birthright would have placed Cain in the lineage.

When I worked on the Antediluvian Timeline, I was fascinated. But when I worked on this Postdiluvian Timeline, I was . . . flabbergasted. I couldn't believe my eyes! Needless to say, it completely changed the way I read Genesis and the stories in that Book. So, I invite you to go through this with me—I think it would be well worth your while.

There is no easy way to communicate all of the fascinating points observed from this exercise, so I will note them in bullet points. I'd also add that with the postdiluvian timeline, there's some caveat and uncertainties in the accounting, since the data are not as explicit as in the antediluvian timeline. I'll go over these uncertainties in this post. And for references, the bulk of the data is found in Genesis 11:10-26.

•I was fascinated to discover that 9 generations co-existed for 56 years in the antediluvian period, but after the Flood 10 generations co-existed for only 118 years, the sequence from Noah to Abram's father Terah, from year count 1878–1996. So while Noah and Shem still had the blessing of longevity they saw more generations as man's life expectancy was diminished after the Flood, and their offspring were reproducing and perishing earlier in life.
•Matthew's genealogies of our Lord are written in the descending line, while Luke's genealogies are written in the ascending line. Matthew extends to Abraham, the common ancestor of the nation of Israel and is divided into three parts, each of fourteen generations; Luke to Adam, the common parent of those in the Book of Life. The desire for historical completeness is more strongly manifested in Luke. Being (as was supposed the son of Joseph) the son of Eli, though supposed to be the son of Joseph. This manner of introducing the parenthesis will show at once that we agree with those who consider that, while Matthew gives the genealogy of Joseph, Luke gives that of Mary. It was far more likely that Luke would give the genealogy of Mary than that of her husband as she is the principal figure throughout his early chapters; while Joseph occupies a far more subordinate position than in Matthew. He explicitly narrates that Mary bore the Holy Child, through the miraculous operation of the Holy Spirit; why then should Luke, who was not writing for Jews, give the descent of His foster-father, when he is intent upon asserting that the Lord was not related to Joseph according to the flesh? He is expressly contrasting His true descent from Eli, the father of Mary, with His supposed descent from Joseph; and Mary is simply passed over, because it was not customary among Israelites to insert the names of females in their genealogies. We find it then here stated, that Jesus was the descendant of Eli, through Mary, his daughter. Through the miraculous birth, which Luke described, one member in this line of male ancestors was missing. If Mary became the mother of our Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit, He could have no male ancestors but hers, and the name of Eli, His grandfather, must stand immediately, before that of Jesus, in His genealogy, since the introduction of the mother's name was not customary, and that of the father impossible in this instance. So here, I'm taking Genesis 11:12 to mean that Salah was born when Arphaxad was 530 years, it doesn't matter whether Arphaxad was his father or grandfather. What I'm not assuming is that Arphaxad actually begat Cainan when he was 530 and we don't know at what age Cainan begat Salah. I hope you can follow that . . . (comments on this point are welcome).
•Shem was still alive when Abram was born. Even greater yet, he was still alive when Isaac was born. Shem died when Isaac was 50 years old, some 10 years before Esau and Jacob were born, 10 years after Isaac married Rebecca.
•Shem saw 10 generations after him, although not all living at the same time.
•In Patriarchs and Prophets Seventh Day Adventist founder Mrs. Ellen G. White [whom we do not follow] wrote, "Adam, Seth, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, in unbroken line, had preserved from age to age the precious revelations of His will. The son of Terah became the inheritor of this holy trust." This is taken to imply that Abram was instructed by Shem personally. Imagine that, to hear of God's grace and judgment from someone who went through the Flood, who saw and experienced the 'before' and 'after' pictures.
•Abram was born some ~350 years after the Flood, but he was instructed by someone who actually went through the Flood!
•Genesis 10–11 record how the nations were divided after the Flood. The Semitic line of Eber's the descendants were divided between the Abrahamic line in Peleg and the Arabic line in Joktan, the Elder, and Adam's descendants were separated from Cain's offspring [for miscegenation wrought genocide upon the Adamic lineage as the offspring were not in the Book of Life].
•Everyone from Arphaxad to Isaac had direct interaction with at least one person who actually went through the Flood.
•Everyone from Arphaxad to Terah could have heard about the Flood from Noah himself!
•This means that everyone who was born after the Flood unto the days of Isaac was a contemporary of the survivors. Imagine how foolish a sceptic who denied the Flood would have sounded in those days when the Flood would not have been regarded as ancient history.
•Noah outlived Nahor (Abram's grandfather) by 9 years.

Postdiluvian Genealogies

•If you put the postdiluvian timeline side by side with the postdiluvian genealogy below, you'll see something else that's amazing.
•In Genesis 23 after Sarah died, Abraham went to the children of Heth to buy a piece of land for her burial. Sarah died when she was 127 years old and Isaac was 37, three years before he married (year count 2145).
•

Heth was Canaan's son, Ham's grandson, meaning that he was possibly a contemporary of Salah, who was still alive during the time of Abram, but died before year count 2145. So it may be that when Abraham went to the children of Heth, that Heth was still living; Canaan might have been alive. More likely Ham, being long-lived like Shem, was still alive. Heth and his descendants were Hittites. In Genesis 26:34-35 Esau grieved his parents by marrying two Hittite women of Cain's accursed race, so that his nation, Edom, was and is to this day physical Serpent's seed. A clear understanding of this history is essential when reading the Old and New Testaments. [Concerning Cain and Canaan I encourage you to study this diagram (right) which explains how Adam is the Patriarch of His race while Eve is "the Matriarch of All Living"].

Antediluvian and Postdiluvian Patriarchs

Now if you zoom out to see both the antediluvian and the postdiluvian timelines, you can count the degrees of separation between Adam to Abram.

•Adam could pass on his knowledge of God to Methuselah and Lamech, who had direct interactions with Shem for about 100 years. Shem, then passed it on to Abram, and possibly Isaac. Thus, there are only 3 degrees of separation between Adam and Abram.
•Seeing this zoomed-out version makes me realize that there are not many degrees of separation between the Patriarchs and Moses, since Moses lived around 200 years after Joseph's time (my next timeline project).

Don't Look Back

Christian greetings in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ; we are all smiles—happy, happy, happy—to have your company in fellowship around God's unchanging Word.

Rather than teaching, we will preach today's brief main article encouraging you to look forward to the precious promises of your inheritance with "Son-shine, Son-shine in your heart today; Son-shine, Son-shine all along the way." Our feature article is entitled "Don't Look Back" like the "three unclean spirits like frogs" or Lot's wife. Since you are born-again you are a brand new creation, a God-man or God-woman in Christ Jesus and free from condemnation. All unbelief and mistakes of the past are in the sea of God's forgetfulness, therefore "look up, for your full adoption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28).

Prayer for the Persecuted Church

January 16, 2019 — From China to sub-Saharan Africa Christians have been experiencing high levels of persecution in 73 countries, according to the 2019 World Watch list. Of 4,136 deaths for Christian faith that the list reports, Nigeria alone accounts for about 90% (3,731). Over 300 Nigerian Christians have been slain by Fulani Muslims since February. According to church estimates Fulani Muslims have murdered 6,000 and razed at least five hundred church buildings since 2001 in Plateau State alone.

While the Chinese Communist Party is reportedly offering monetary rewards to anyone who tip off authorities and report believers, and Chinese students are required to sign religion-rejection commitments and officials are going after primary and secondary school students to fill their minds with atheist theology . . .

Gwadar Terrorist Attack Exposed the International Media's Double Standards

May 12, 2019 — Most of the international media is referring to Saturday's attack on the Pearl Continental hotel in Gwadar as being committed by either "gunmen" or "militants" instead of the actual terrorists that the perpetrators are, after the BBC reported that they chose their target in order to kill Chinese and other foreign investors, therefore exposing a common double standard whereby "politically convenient" terrorist attacks are simply reframed as "shootings" or "militancy" while "politically inconvenient" acts of resistance are smeared as "terrorism" . . . This incident is a blatant act of terrorism just like the much more devastating ones that were carried out against several hotels and churches in Sri Lanka last month, but the international media is resorting to its tried-and-tested double standards after most of them described the perpetrators as "gunmen" or "militants" instead of the actual terrorists that they are . . . US Accuses Iran of Attack on Saudi Tankers

May 5, 2019 — Just as everyone with half a frontal lobe had expected, the WSJ reported late on Monday that according to an initial US assessment, "Iran was likely behind the attack" on the two Saudi Arabian oil tankers and two other vessels damaged over the weekend near the Strait of Hormuz . . . The assessment . . . squares perfectly with CIA veteran Mike Pompeo's warning from just two days before the alleged attack . . . Last week the US deployed a carrier strike group to the region and further has a B-52 bomber group monitoring the skies over the Persian Gulf from al Udeid airbase in Qatar.

Life without Petroleum: Back to the Medieval Green World

May 11, 2019 — Greens dream of a zero-emissions world without coal, oil and natural gas. They need to think what they wish for.

First there would be no mass production of steel without coke from coking coal to remove oxygen from iron ore. People could cut trees in forests for charcoal to produce pig iron and crude steels, but forests would soon be exhausted. Coal saved the forests from this fate.

We could produce gold and silver without using mineral hydro-carbons and with ingenuity we could probably produce unrefined copper, lead and tin and alloys like brass and bronze. But making large quantities of nuclear fuels, cement, aluminium, refined metals, plastics, nylons, synthetics, petro-chemicals and poly pipes would be impossible.

Making wind turbines and solar panels would also be impossible without fossil fuels. A wind turbine needs lots of steel plus concrete, carbon fibre and glass polymers as well as many other refined metals—copper, aluminium, rare earths, zinc and molybdenum. Solar panels and batteries need high-purity ingredients—silicon, lead, lithium, nickel, cadmium, zinc, silver, manganese and graphite—all hard to make in backyard charcoal-fired furnaces. Transporting, erecting and maintaining wind and solar farms plus their roads and transmission lines needs many pieces of diesel-powered machinery.

Every machine on earth needs hydro-carbons for engine oil, gear oil, transmission oil, brake fluid, hydraulic oil and grease. We could of course use oils from, seals, beeswax and whales for lubrication—the discovery of petroleum saved the whales from this fate.

Roads would be a challenge without oil-based bitumen. The Romans made pretty good roads out of cobble-stones (this would ease unemployment). But hard labour would not sit well with aging baby-boomers or electronic-era Millenniums.

Cars, railways, motor launches, aeroplanes, iPhones, TV and cat-scans would be out. Horses, oxen, sulkies, wooden rowing boats, sailing ships, herbal medicine and semaphore would have a huge revival. Some wood-burning steam tractors may still work and wood-gas generators may replace petrol in some old cars.

This is the return to the "zero-emissions" world that Green extremists have planned for us.

But modern life cannot not be supported by a pre-coal/oil economy. Without reliable electricity and diesel-powered farm machinery and transport trucks, cities are un-sustainable. In Green-topia 90% of us people will need to go.

Don't Look Back

The living creatures of Ezekiel 1 and Revelation 4 were guarding the Throne or Presence of God east of the Garden of Eden accompanied by the Shekinah as a flaming Sword "which turned every way, to guard the way to [Christ] the Tree of Life" (Genesis 3:24). They each had four faces, the face of a Man, the face of a Lion, the face of an Ox, and the face of an Eagle; consequently "they turned not when they went; wherever the Spirit would go, they went, straight forward without turning as they went" (Ezekiel 1:12). They guarded the Ark of the Covenant on its journey from Mount Sinai to Jerusalem, and today under the New Testament they represent the four Gospels which guard the way into God's Presence by the baptism with the Holy Ghost that will endue Christ's end-time Bride with the authority of Acts of the Apostolic saints to manifest that we are the Sons of God and elevate our faith for translation grace.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel encamped around the Tabernacle where the Lord dwelt between the Cherubim above the Ark in the Holy of Holies. The face of a Lion representing the Tribe of Judah guarded the East, flanked by the Tribes of Issachar and Zebulon (Numbers 2:3-30). Under the New Testament this Cherub represented the office of Apostle, the Gospel of Matthew and the 'Alpha' saints of Pentecost and those of the Ephesian, Smyrnean and Pergamean Church Ages who were baptized into the Body of Christ under the First Seal (Revelation 2:1-17; 6:1-2).

The face of an Ox representing the Tribe of Ephraim guarded the West flanked by Manasseh and Benjamin (Numbers 2:18-24). Under the New Testament it represented the office of Pastor, the Gospel of Mark, and the saints of the Thyatirean Church Age baptized into the Body under the Second Seal, scores of millions were martyred by the Judaeo-Roman Universal church (Revelation 2:18-29; 6:3-4).

The face of a Man representing the Tribe of Reuben guarded the South flanked by Simeon and Gad (Numbers 2:10-16). Under the New Testament it represented the office of Teacher, the Gospel of Luke, and the saints of the Reformation of the Sardis and Philadelphian Church Ages baptized into the Body under the Third Seal (Revelation 3:1-13; 6:5-6).

The face of an Eagle representing the Tribe of Dan guarded the North flanked by Asher and Naphtali (Numbers 2:25-31). Under the New Testament it represented the office of Evangelist and Prophet, the Gospel of John, and the saints of the Laodicean Church Age which closed the Reformation (II Timothy 4:1-5), and the 'Omega' or Capstone Bride baptized into the Headstone of the Body under the Fourth Seal (Revelation 3:14-22; 6:7-8; 10:4-7).

God never changes His way: as entrance into His Presence under the Old Testament was defended by three tribes on each cardinal point of the Tabernacle, new birth into Christ by the baptism with the Holy Spirit is defended by four Gospels that agree in "the present Truth" for each Age (II Peter 1:12; I John 1:7). The testimony of saints born under the first Four Seals proves we are partakers of "The Acts of the Holy Spirit in the Apostles" and God's throne guards—"living creatures," not tribes (Revelation 4:9; 5:8).

Our Christian journey commenced when we recognized the Supreme Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is God in One person manifest in virgin-born flesh to fulfil the part of our KINSMAN Redeemer. Then in obedience to Acts 2:38-39, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins [past unbelief], and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost [and new birth]. For the promise is unto you [Israelites], and to your children, and to all that are afar off [Gentiles], even as many as the Lord our God shall call [from Adam's race]".

"Remission of [past] sins [or unbelief in the revealed Word of God]" is NOT forgiveness, the slate is cleared and those things of the past are placed on the shoulders of your first husband, our adversary Satan, the god of this evil age. Our first birth was according to his wisdom whereby he deceived Eve. Had she waited for the Lord God to reveal the mystery of procreation to her prophet husband, we would have been born by His Word. Since Pentecost the elect of God are born the second time to eternal Life by faith in the Word of the hour (Romans 5:16; 8:1, 34; 9:10; Ephesians 2:6).

Paul said, "forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14).

"Don't look back".

That was the advice the angels gave to Lot and his family as they led them out of the city of Sodom, just before it was destroyed by the wrath of God. What happened to the city after he fled was no longer Lot's concern . . . he could do nothing about it.

"Don't look back" was the angels' way of saying, "Look forward." There's nothing to gain from watching what happens behind you. Focus on your future and what is ahead of you. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matthew 6:21). Lot's wife failed to obey and trust with her whole heart. We must not "Look back"—all Seven Church Ages are over, Christ's mediation is fulfilled, and redemption is over.

I John 2:15-19, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever."

"Little children the last hour is here: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; [there are the Catholic antichrists, the Lutheran, Anglican, Presbyterian, Brethren, Baptist, Methodist, SDA, JW, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Muslim, etc., antichrists] whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us".

Now let's heard some sound advice from the Headmaster's Report in the current quarterly Shore Reports:

"The very excellence of student achievement highlights one of the challenges that a school such as ours faces: the rise of professional standards in schoolboy activities. How does the School's teaching about being our best in the things we undertake balance with the need to accept and learn from our imperfections, as well as simply live a manageable life? On that latter point it is a challenge for many adults living in our current world as well as for school students.

I think the balance must lie in a constructive application of our belief that we should be rounded individuals who have taken on with relish the opportunity to try many different activities with a healthy acceptance that none of us are brilliant at everything we do. If we do not push ourselves to try new things, we do not grow, and in fact we may never discover what we are best at. If we seek to perfect our capacity in a very narrow range we may not enjoy the fullness of life. The educator Kurt Hahn was convinced that we should not be coerced to opinions, but we should be coerced to experiences. This is captured for example by the School's insistence on every boy playing sport, going on camp or doing a year in cadets. One boy I remember well whose mother was dead against his doing cadets ended up as the Senior Under Officer (SUO). He flourished in the environment and developed leadership skills of a high order. On the other hand, some boys try an activity and find that it is not them, and they are the better for it. It is perfectly OK to be a mediocre sportsman as long as you gave it your best effort.

The School does find that a growing expectation of professional excellence goes with a culture of success. Does one wonderful musical concert put greater pressure on the boys and staff to exceed that next time? What room is there for the enthusiastic sporting amateur? In visiting schools in the USA I was always rather bewildered that only an elite few played for their school: everybody else simply watched. They were deemed not good enough to play for the colours of their school. It was dispiriting and played into the mindset that one should only do those things which one can do well. This is important for parents to remember. Participation ought to be the starting point for all young people. Allied to that needs to be a desire to try hard, as well as to listen to feedback as how to improve, but that feedback should be from teachers and coaches as too often well-meaning but anxious parents can kill pleasure with well-intentioned but resented advice. In the end we are hoping to engender enjoyment first and it is no negative reflection on a parent if their child finds it a challenge to do something really well.

Year 12 boys about to leave the School often say a number of things but two common ones are: I am glad I tried a lot of things and I wish I had done X or Y. Let's encourage our students to pursue personal best and breadth of experience, and let's be comfortable with the outcomes" [end quote].

Called by an audible Voice and signally used of God, Paul was confounded when new-born because: "the good that I would do I do not: but the evil which I would not do, that I do" (Romans 7:19-20). Then he saw that he, his redeemed soul in Christ cannot sin (I John 3:7-9), but his unredeemed body and spirit remain under "the law of sin" and must be brought under subjection to Christ the Word reigning in his soul (Hebrews 4:12).

He shares the joy and rapture of his revelation for our instruction in Romans 8:1-18, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".

Paraphrasing Headmaster Dr. Timothy Wright, "we must balance being our best in the things we undertake with the need to accept and learn from our imperfections, as well as the reality of simply living a manageable life. For us Christians the balance must lie in a constructive application of our belief, unto faith which is "the mind of Christ in you" as rounded individuals who have taken on with relish the opportunity to try many different activities with a healthy acceptance that none of us are brilliant at everything we do. If we do not push ourselves to try new things, we will not grow to maturity in the unity of faith for the manifestation of the Sons of God and the translation.

Dedicated discipline and practice are required because in Newsletter 1054 we quoted Brother Branham, "God will do in one year what all theology's failed to do in two thousand years" (COD, p. 145:203). I believe we are now living that year.

Here is what I anticipate in the immediate future: A market crash is coming. The warning signs are everywhere: it is just a matter of time. Resting on Amos 8:11 the Prophet said the united States will be devastated and the US dollar and global economy will collapse into a depression that will be worse than the Great Depression (Jezebel Religion, p. 22:100). The sinking of Los Angeles by an unprecedented earthquake will ignite the 'hot stage' of the ongoing World War II; demolition of es Sahkra and the Al Aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount will see the modern Israel state defeated, and the mass exodus of non-Semitic, anti-Semitic self-styled Jews will enable genuine blood Israelites to return to the Land of their Covenant for redemption.

History is not happenstance but the outcome of planning—decades, centuries and millennia in advance as God's prophets have exposed in Lucifer's scheme from Genesis to Revelation. The prescient "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" and plans to prepare the world for Lucifer's one world government by three World Wars bear bloody testimony. Josephus wrote, "Adam's prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the violence and quantity of water, and at another time by the force of fire" (Antiquities of the Jews, I, 2:3). Isaiah 66:15-16 agrees, "The Lord will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many." According to Isaiah 34 the Lord will soon regard all the world as Edomite Serpent's seed—the people of His curse. Speaking of the close of the Gentile dispensation when the Sixth Seal manifests, sinking Los Angeles and a 300 – 400 x 1,500 mile segment of earth (Joel 2:10, 30-33; Amos 8:8-9; Revelation 18:21-24), the Seventh Trumpet sounds and the plague of the Seventh Vial is poured out, Satan will be cast down to earth to incarnate the Pope. "All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a rotten fig from the fig tree. For My sword shall be bathed in heaven (Revelation 12:8-8): behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of My curse, to judgment." Zion's impersonators call their long term plan the "Samson Option." They rule the world as Satan's proxy—the 'hidden hand' that rules your nation, yes, YOUR country. By their franchise on religion they rule all religions, the world church system and the independents; by their franchise on monetary and financial sleight of hand they rule the nations, and the United Nations. By their franchise on education they manipulate your mind from the cradle to the grave. They write the propaganda taught as history and monopolise the media and perverse entertainment industry.

He healed the sick, restored sight to the blind, hearing and speech to deaf mutes and raised the dead to reveal "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever." He moved among men preaching righteousness and temperance, "proclaiming the day of vengeance of our God" and warning us to escape the nuclear consummation Adam prophesied (Isaiah 61:2b; Malachi 4:1; 3:2-3; Isaiah 9;18-19; II Peter 3:10; Matthew 24:22; Revelation 10:8-11).

Like Enoch and Jesus, Brother Branham's ministry had little permanent result for no true worshippers were to be found save a tiny elect minority. Hydro-carbons Beat Biofuels on all Counts May 9, 2019 — "Coal and oil are made from plants and animals that died millions of years ago when the atmosphere contained abundant carbon dioxide plant food. They are now very concentrated forms of energy which can be extracted from very small areas of land. Burning these natural hydro-carbons returns CO2 and fresh water to the atmosphere thus greatly assisting global plant growth. If we are lucky these extra gases in the atmosphere may also slightly delay the start of Earth's next cooling cycle, but this looks unlikely.

"Ethanol and biodiesel are made from plants growing now - sugar cane, beets, palm oil and grains. Growing these crops requires large areas of land and valuable fresh water for irrigation. Growing bio-fuel crops extracts CO2 from the atmosphere but burning them quickly puts it back. This is a zero-sum game that does nothing positive for the environment or the climate.

Polygamy

King Solomon was a man who certainly knew this subject. The king is reputed to have had one thousand wives, and he was married to each of them at the same time.

Ecclesiastes 7:25-29, "With all my heart I turned my mind to know, to investigate, and to come to a wise conclusion and an explanation of things, to know that wickedness is foolishness and that folly is madness. And I found more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are chains: whoever pleases God will escapes her; but the sinner will be taken by her."

"Behold, I have discovered this, says the Preacher; step by step I searched to find an explanation. What my heart sought continually, I have not found. One man among a thousand I have found; but a woman among all those [in my harem] I have not found. This alone have I found, that God made man upright; but each has sought out many inventions to follow his own downward path".

Solomon was originally bright, keen-witted, and wise, yet in his old age, he was rent to pieces by the wiles of the women with whom he had filled his harem. He bankrupted his nation, partly by the extravagance of his polygamous life, and partly in his attempt to build temples in distant places to serve the religions of his many wives (I Kings 11:1-43).

Biblical Polygamy is in reality "POLYGYNY"—a many-wived man. Its corollary "POLYANDRY" describes the condition of a woman who has many men as husband with herself. But the latter was from ancient time known among all peoples as adultery.

Polygamy, or correctly, polygyny, was permitted after the human race fell from the Covenant God had established with Adam. As father and representative of his whole race he received a law as recently as he had received a nature for himself and his seed.

Genesis 2:16-17, "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the Garden you may freely eat: but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die."

On the one side was God, and on the other was Adam who represented the whole human race in his own person. The word covenant means to bind in solemn mutual agreement an obligation voluntarily assumed and not imposed—but binding by an oath with a curse upon disregard of the agreement.

Amongst men the covenant was primarily a blood-brotherhood in which two men became brothers by drinking each other's blood. It made them kinsmen and gave them life-fellowship. We see the same idea in Moses sprinkling the blood of the covenant upon the vessels and upon the people (Exodus 24:1-8), and in the Lord's Supper where the wine represents the blood of Christ (Matthew 26:28-29). And Christians are the blood of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, for the life is in the blood—(Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed, p. 63:1).

In the case of the Covenant between God and man, God being the superior, always takes the initiative with the promises conditional on human obedience. Signs and pledges on God's part, and promises for human obedience and penalties for disobedience.

There was NO sin in the beginning. "God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was VERY GOOD" (Genesis 1:31). On the seventh day, God FORMED (Heb. 'yatsar' or squeezed into shape) Adam, placed him in the paradise of Eden, and made a solemn Covenant with him. Next, Adam named the animals, as God 'squeezed them into shape.' But after all of the creatures had been formed, two by two, male and female, although God had declared "It is NOT GOOD that the man should be alone," there was still no suitable helper for man. Yet creation was FINISHED. So God put Adam to sleep and took from his side a rib from which he made (Heb. 'banah' extended or re-built) the woman (Genesis 2:15-25).

Unlike Adam and the rest of God's creatures, woman is not a spoken Word of God. She was not in the original creation but is a by-product taken from man. In the rest of nature the male is the most beautiful; but in the human race it is the woman who is beautiful and the man plain. Other than woman no female animal can be immoral. Animals have sex only for reproduction. But woman is designed for sex any time she desires. She is designed so she can deceive and be deceived. God placed her on free moral agency so she can be the most exalted creation co-ruling throughout eternity with Jesus Christ as His Bride. Or she can be the great Harlot and her protestant daughters and cast into the Lake of Fire.

God is looking for the inner beauty of character reflecting His Glory. Thus man is made in the image of God to reflect His glory, while woman is of and created for the man as his glory. A woman is to reflect her husband's character, hence she is to learn from, not instruct him; to be submissive, not authoritative. Here we see the close connection between male and female, and the responsibilities of mutual love which it involves: the protection due on one part, the subjection due on the other.

God made only one woman for Adam, and Eve shared his lordship over creation—not in her own right—but being bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. In the antitype, all things will belong to Christ's Bride, however she will possess them through no merit or right of her own, but as the Bride of Jesus Christ who is heir of all things (I Corinthians 3:21-23; Hebrews 1:2). Do you see the perfect type of Christ and His Bride? Saint Paul saw it clearly (Ephesians 5:22-33).

Satan knew there was no way he could deceive Adam, because he was the son of God. His only son made in His image. As the manifested Word of God Adam could not be deceived on the Word of God, "but the woman being deceived was in the transgression" (I Timothy 2:14). Eve was deceived by pride and lust for forbidden knowledge from the Tree "full of wisdom and perfect in beauty" standing beside Christ the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. She saw herself independently initiating God's command to "be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth," teaching Adam the Devil's wisdom and giving birth to Jesus, "the beginning of the creation of God." Eve brought forth DEATH by Satan's wisdom, not Life by God's Word.

Satan has been working on woman for six thousand years. He was busy at the 1995 Beijing Conference on Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality, each of those women was an unregenerate sinner. Amos said, "How can two meet together except they be agreed on the Word." That Scripture proves the UN is not of God and without knowing the parties behind the Conference, it's Charter is nothing but stage two of the plan for world socialism presented at the Communist Internationale and Joseph Stalin's 1936 Constitution for Soviet Russia—which are contrary to God's Word.

One woman can send more souls to hell by lust and unclean living than all the pubs in the country. God has placed her on the basis of free moral agency, and like the natural woman the spiritual woman, the church is given a sacred trust—to bring forth life. It's her choice whether she realizes or falls short of God's exalted plan for her.

God's Covenant with Adam was one of obedience by works, which was possible so long as man was in harmony with the mind of God. However, at the fall, Adam forfeited man's dominion over the earth to Satan who became the god of this evil age. Every child born of woman is born to die, born with the nature of this world and a desire for the things of this world which is now ruled by Satan and contrary to God.

After the fall, God introduced polygamy in both man and beast. Speaking on the matter of divorce, Jesus told the Pharisees, "From the beginning it was NOT so" (Matthew 19:7-8). Now there's one covenant for the man, and one for the woman. He is to care and provide for her by the sweat of his brow and she is to serve and obey him who is now to be her ruler.

Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death is the result of sin; so death passed upon all men; none being able to avoid it because all have sinned".

Sin entered the world by the action of one man who redeemed his wife Eve who should have been burnt as the Law says along with the evil monster in her womb (Leviticus 21:9; Psalm 119:89). Taking her quickly to himself Adam did not put an end to sin, he entered time and mortality, forfeited his dominion and ours to Satan, and death spread to all creatures.

Let's read I Corinthians 15:21-22, "For since by a man came death, by a man came also the resurrection of the dead. For through our natural union in Adam all die, even so through our Spiritual union in Christ, or new birth, shall the elect be made alive".

All of Adam's seed must die like Adam died because we were all in Adam and limited by his fallen nature. Likewise all of Christ's Seed died in Jesus on Calvary because He was the Fullness of the Word manifest in flesh, and the members of His Bride are attributes of the Logos. We were judged in Christ on Calvary and left His side after He died in the form of the Holy Ghost from which the Church is made. We paid the supreme penalty for our sins in Christ on Calvary (Romans 6:23), and when God pronounced Jesus innocent we too were acquitted and He was raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). We are His sinless, blood-washed Bride and can never come to condemnation. There is no double jeopardy "for it is given to a man once to die and then the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). We are now seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus—elect, precious, predestinated: "Who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect" (Romans 8:1, 33)?

Romans 5:13-14, "Before the Law or Covenant with Israel, sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." Because there can be no penalty for breach of a nonexistent Covenant (Romans 4:15). "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over them that had not personally transgressed a Law of God as did Adam [when as a type of Christ, he bore Eve's sin on his own shoulders and paid its awful penalty that she might be saved when God redeemed him]. He was the figure of Him that was to come." But whereas Adam's sacrifice brought DEATH on all creation, Christ's sacrifice brought LIFE.

"One who is born of God cannot sin" (I John 3:9). Adam did NOT sin but when he chose to redeem the woman he loved he took Eve's sin upon himself; thus when the last Adam chose to do God's will and bear our sins He became sin and the Spirit left Him in the Garden of Gethsemane and He had to die a man. Although Adam was in God's image and the god of this world he forfeited his godhood when he crossed the time-line and the Life-line and brought this innocent world and himself subject to sin's curse.

How could Adam fall when he was in God's image? Eve sinned when she was deceived and broke God's covenant by UNBELIEF in His Word. Adam did NOT sin and was not deceived but with eyes wide open he broke God's Covenant in BELIEF and by faith: as a Son of God he knew he could no more be lost than God can be lost and since he and his wife were one flesh by marriage, he knew that when God redeemed Him He would redeem Eve.

Adam took God's "permissive will"—what He permits to an election predestinated by grace through faith "according to His foreknowledge through sanctification by the Spirit unto obedience and sprinkling of the Blood of Jesus Christ" (I Peter 1:2) to accomplish the sovereign plan and eternal Life of His "perfect will." Adam and Eve and all of their offspring were to exercise free moral agency, and through fellowship with Christ the Tree of Life, mature to glorification without sickness, sadness or death. "But the woman being deceived by Lucifer, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil incarnate in the Serpent, was in the transgression that disrupted God's "perfect will" (I Timothy 2:14; Romans 12:2).

Romans 8:28-31, "But we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren, and whom He predestinated, these He also called: and whom He called, these He also justified: and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

Eve, and subsequently Adam, crossed over the Word into time in conjunction with a sexual experience. Eve through adultery, Adam through compassion for his wife. Whereas prior to the knowledge Eve received from the incarnate Serpent they were naked and were not ashamed. Now they were conscious of the physiological differences and functions of their bodies, they were ashamed of their nakedness, and knew they had fallen short of the glory and Covenant of God.

When they transgressed the Covenant and lost their innocence through carnal knowledge Adam forfeited his dominion to Satan, and not until after the judgment will the heavens and earth be renewed. By Satan's knowledge women will bear children in pain and sorrow, and by lust instead faith in God's Word. We are born Spiritually dead, shaped in sin and conceived in iniquity, and the nature of the world of which we are part rules the desires of our mortal spirit and flesh. If God can get us to sit still long enough under "the present Truth" He will even quicken our soul in a second birth.

Outside union with the Holy Spirit people tend to serve their carnal senses so God introduced the polygamy law for males—"the woman being deceived was in the transgression . . . and must obey their own husband in every thing" (I Timothy 2:14; Genesis 3:16; Ephesians 5:23). This explains why God permitted men to have many wives. Outside the New Covenant their unregenerate souls could not always bring their body and spirit subject. But no woman could have more than one living husband.

Some with no knowledge of the Bible or understanding by the Spirit may invoke moral outrage at the thought of God introducing polygamy in all nature following the Fall. Let us repair to His unchanging Word as our authority, rather than self-righteous indignation. "If they cannot contain their passions, and to avoid fornication, it is better for the unmarried and widows to marry than to burn with lust" (I Corinthians 7:2, 9).

Abraham's father Terah had two wives. Abraham married his half sister. And the law forbidding woman from more than one living husband was universal for when Abimalech found that Sarah was Abraham's wife as well as his sister he knew he must not marry her. Yet Abraham had several concubines (Genesis 25:6; I Chronicles 1:32), and Jacob bore the Patriarchs by his wives Rachel and Leah, and their handmaids Bilhah and Zilah.

Judge Gideon's many wives and his concubine bore him over seventy sons, and presumably many daughters (Judges 8:30-31). A certain Levite had a concubine (Judges 20:10). Elkanah, the father of Samuel the prophet had two wives (I Samuel 1:1-2), Saul had a concubine (II Samuel 3:7). David, a man after God's Own heart had five hundred wives and Solomon, a type of Christ, had 1,000 wives. How about you?

Paul taught that the Law and the history in the Old Testament were shadows and types of things to come under the New Testament, and the natural types the Spiritual. So natural polygamy before Pentecost established a pattern for the Spiritual Marriage Union between Christ and His many-membered Bride (singular). Were there no polygamy there could be no election and no new birth.

Likewise, were there no natural divorce, there could be no remission for past sins and justification by grace through faith according to Acts 2:38. Because of the Fall we were each born in fornication with a worldly nature, and Satan is the god of this world. We had to confess spiritual uncleanliness before we can accept Christ's proposal of marriage (Acts 2:38-39). Our espousal is justification by grace through faith.

Spiritual romance with our heavenly Bridegroom intensifies passion as faith exposes our hidden life to the sharp Sword of His revealed Word: recognizing and renouncing our shortcomings we turn from the world and separate from the things of the world, drawing ever closer in conformation to His will and good pleasure, which is His Word. Sanctification is the outworking of faith: "without holiness no man will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

The natural types the Spiritual. As an espoused maid seeks to identify with those things that will please her man, and separate from anyone or anything that might not meet his approval, Christians cleanse themselves from habits and desires, thoughts and associations that displease our Lord.

Finally, comes the marriage. But before they can wed, that first husband, the worldly nature on the soul whose god is Satan must die, not just divorced or "put away" by justification and sanctification of the mortal senses. He must die by the Holy Ghost and Fire (Matthew 3:12; Romans 7:1-6). The union consummated and Christ and His Bride are united by faith in "the present Truth" Living through her. She is a written epistle of the Word God promised to fulfil in her day. She and the Word are One: she cannot be deceived on the Word for her day. Not even a flirt! Like the natural marriage of a man and woman—if they're truly joined together by God and not some backslidden preacher or half-drunk magistrate, nothing can take them apart.

Now, Christians—those truly born-again by the Word for their day are united with their new Husband, Christ, through the New Covenant of grace by faith alone, a Covenant. It cannot be disannulled and although Jesus reaffirmed the indissolubility of the family and monogamy, the shadows of the old Order are still present: man and woman are still under separate Covenants. She can only have one living husband. He can put her away for unconfessed fornication any time and marry another. However, men who are Christians no longer need several wives. By the grace of God and the Holy Spirit in our heart we are able to bring our passions and prejudices within due bounds.

Of course, if a man has several wives and is subsequently born-again, and they too are born-again, or pleased to dwell with him, he is not to put them away. However he would be disqualified from the (lay) office of Deacon or Bishop:

I Timothy 3:1-3, "This is a true saying, If a man desires the office of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, NOT A POLYGAMIST, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;"

I Timothy 3:12, "Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, [NOT A POLYGAMIST] ruling their children and their own houses well".

Titus 1:5-6, "For this cause left I you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you: If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, [NOT A POLYGAMIST] having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly."

In this day of grace, we see the shadow of the old polygamy covenant in the (many-membered) Bride of (one) Lord Jesus Christ. It is evident in the separate covenants wherein God deals with the man and the woman, and in the matter of marriage and divorce. If anyone doubts that God established separate covenants with man and woman following the Fall, ask yourself these three questions:

Does the Serpent which once stood upright on two legs now move upon his belly?

Must man still toil against nature to produce his daily bread?

Does woman still conceive in sorrow?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then man and woman are not co-equal in nature as it was in the beginning, and the woman serves God as she obeys her husband.
